Fuel issues

I recently bought an 04 F150. Yesterday it started acting like it wasn't getting fuel when going up hills or when I was giving little pressure on the gas peddle. When I stepped on it, there were no issues. Not sure if it is the pump or possibly the modulator. Any one have anything similar happen to them?

Old body style (Heritage) or new body style? Which engine? How many miles on it?

Yeah, once the miles to E thing says around 20 or less on mine, going around corners or up or down steep hills creates that effect.

Not your problem haha, replace the fuel filter. It may be so gummed up that at low pressures it restricts but at WOT the system has enough pressure to force it through without a problem.

Changed the filter this afternoon with no change. Any other ideas?

2004 F150 4.6L, not a heritage.

It's clean, looks like it's been changed before, just have to get some washers under it to be safe.

Had a cel last night while I was out in the woods. Got it checked and said I need new spark plugs.

As for the throttle body, do I need to take it off, or just leave it on?

Thanks again for the help

remove the throttle body. two cans of throttle body cleaner. it takes about an hour or two to do. i did it in 1.5 hours, started with a hot engine (dumb) and burnt the **** out of myself. with that being said, cool engine, 1 hours worth of work. you will be surprised to what it looks like before and after. its pretty basic work.
