Which level?

So I finally got the moeny to get a leveling kit for my truck Now the question I have is which one should I go with. I have heard people say different things about different sizes. I am currently looking at the Hell Bent Steel ones and I don't know whether to go with the 2.5" or the 3". I have heard that the 2.5" will have the front of my truck still a little (all most unnoticable) lower then the back. If you guys could help me figure out which one to get. BTW I am so excited to be able to finally start to do stuff to my truck, it sucks being a poor college student.

I have a 2005. I will measure it.
I looked at the autosprings one and they are like twice as much as the hell bent steel ones. I figure if they are cheaper and just as good why not go with them. Like I said I am a poor college student. Lol

Yeah there is no coorilation between price and quality on leveling kits as long as they are coated/painted.

I have a Autospring 2.5" on my truck, it made mine sit basically perfectly level, I actually got 2 3/4-2 7/8" out of it. I thought it would settle, but 4 years and 18000 miles later it still measures exactly the same.

a properly installed leveling kit will not settle...at least the ones that go ontop of the coil...the spacer ones that go inside the coil could settle out if they are plastic

all the brands are essentially the same. it's kind of like asking "Walmart or K-Mart"?

a 04-06 model I suggest you do upwards of 2.5" at max
a 07-08 model...I highly suggest only 1.5" or 2". Anything more is likely to put you nose high

edit: btw, Autosprings for me. love their stuff.

I'm running HBS 2.5" on my 08 Screw.. It sits perfectly level at all 4 corners. have had it for 30k+ miles. No probs at all. I havent rechecked the measurments after the first 10k miles though. But I dont see a reason that itd change.. Only suggestion I would make. If you plan on towing.. either do a 1.5"-2" up front or run a rear 1"-2" add-a-leaf or block... when I tow our pop-up, the truck bull-dogs it and I hate it.. IMO

Wolff's point is my concern - during the summer I pull the quads and a boat frequently and was concerned that the truck would as he says "bulldog" and look funny. I mean I can see the front being lower, but I havent pulled the trigger on the leveling yet.

I love the stance as is.. especially maintaining speed through curves.. its just, unless you have a load lever hitch to help, you will have a lower rear when towing.. I just cant bring myself to add a leaf or a block.. I'm looking into an airbag setup for the rear. just raise it when I'm going to tow something....

Course you could cure it redneck style. just run 35's in back and 32's in the front

That was a concern of mine also, so I bought a pair of Firestone Ride-Rite air bags to get rid of that issue. Here are a couple of pictures, both are the exact same load, with 65psi and with out air in the bags. The load is roughly 2500lbs (1000lbs of patio blocks in the bed and roughly 1500lbs of tongue weight).
