carr light bar mounting?

ive searched and googled and i cant seem to find out how(if possible) people are mounting these bars on 04+ trucks.

according to the carr website there is a gutterless mount kit for our trucks. how the hell does this kit mount it to the truck if there is nothing to grab on to? (and now that ive just got off my *** and went outside to check i do have a gutter and i could definetely see how the bar could grab on and hold! so i guess my question is why does carr say we need a gutterless mount kit if we have gutters?

i did find one picture if a bar mounted to a truck that looks like crap and i cant see how it could withstand any wind force!

am i the only one that thinks that bar is going to go flying at 70mph?

and how are people running the wires for these lights? are they just drilling a hole and then sealing it off?

Jollly Green Giant if you could snap a few pics and throw them on here i would greatly apperciate it (as would a few others im sure.)
