Backup Camera Problem

I recently got a Pioneer P3100-DVD, and I decided to add a backup camera. I wired it all up, set the camera setting to on and Battery in the headunits menu, and it works great.

Problem though is that the headunit goes to the cameras input screen every 7 seconds when its turned on. The way I wired it the camera itself only has power when I am in reverse, so its just a blank screen with the Caution warning about the polarity.

Anybody have any clues? Its not the truck, even with the reverse sensing wire of the headunit not hooked up to anything it still does it.
