04 rusted bumper

Hey guys....Well my bumper is really starting to bother me. The paint is bubbling up and is rusting pretty bad. Looks like i'm going to have to take care of this soon. Sucks being my truck is only 6yrs old now...and heres a pic of my faded bed rails that will be painted this week.

Both of mine are rusted, easy to sand off and repaint

Is that the factory paint just giving out on you? Or did something happen?

One reason tthe side is like that is a rock chip, or just repeated sandblasting by road debris over the years.

The rest are because the top cover vibrated and wore a hole through the paint that water got behind and then rusted the metal.

That sucks. After seeing pics like these it just reminds me why I don't drive my 04 but maybe 1-2 times in the winter. And those very rare times that it does get driven in the winter, it gets washed within the next couple days and parked back in the garage.

My truck was only exposed to salt once this winter after a 1.5 foot blizzard.....I always wash within 24 hours after exposure as I have the privilege of use of a heated garage with drains.....

Yep, I hear yea. Thats one nice thing about where my house is located, its only about 1 mile from my old mans new shop. He had a wash bay built into the shop, its very nice being able to wash my truck in 60 deg temps even when its below 0 outside.
