New Way To Mount Edge Evo+Gryphon

Well we finally got clear weather for the week. been a while. Heading to the beach soon so i figured with that combo i would clean up the truck. In the middle of cleanin the truck i started to notice the ugly evo pod. I had at the time a sirus radio (never used in two years). I pulled off the radio and realized how easy this would be. using velcro pads from wallmart, i placed a 2"x3" piece on the evo and a 2"x2" on the mount. i removed the mount from the truck. i cut a hole about 1" around through the plastic trey (after removing it). ran the wire up to the top, and after replacing the tray, through the hole. with a picket knife i made an "x" cut through the rubber. with the wire ran through the rubber and into the pod, placed the pod on the mount, BAM! done. looks much better IMO. and to the pics. enjoy, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I just dumped my pod and stuff the edge in the ash tray. Cool ideal for the recycle though and the bonus is you saved the planet today!

I like the pod..its hard to see from outside the truck unlike haveing it out in the open for punks to steal.Guess its a personal choice. But you did mount it nice and professional.
What I got a kick out of was the knife..I collect knives and wwII bayonettes..and in the one picture it showed the knife handle from between the seats..At first glance I thought it was a custom shifter and was going to ask you where you got it...Then I saw it wasn't a console shift truck and then I scrolled down and saw the knife on your seat.
The woodgrain knife handle would look nice in my lariat..I'v got a very similiar knife and always liked the handle..be even better if they made one that was removable in emergencies and the brass knuckle part came off and could be used
Someone has to design a personal protection shifter and patten it..they'll make a killin.

Don't know why I'm reminded of this, but...

THAT'S a knife.

I like your Edge mount, very nice. I hate the pod too, and have thought of how to mount it differently myself. Good work!

You get points for being creative, but that wouldn't work for me as I use that top tray way too much.

Thanks guys. and as far as being out in the open to steal, it cant look much different then the sirius that was already there. And i am tinting my windshield here soon. but that pod drove me insane.

and the knife. i used to keep my .357 in there, but being 17, it wasn't the best idea. so i started off with about a 6" long self defense knife. i liked it and all but it just didnt have a "get the hell away from me" look so i switched to this one. kinda funny, a cop in town seen it one day as i was filling up and says "guess that right there is your huntin knife huh? real cute." he knew what it was, but livin in the woods is nice, cops dont fool with you. i still keep the smaller one in there for actual day to day use. be also brought up my window tint, asked me where he should get his done lol. and for those of you who have not seen out of double limo on a sunny day, picture number 10 and 15 are pretty accurate examples.
