fuel pressure

does anyone know where the fuel pressure regulator is on a 2004 f150 supercrew?

There isn't one. Ford uses a returnless fuel system on the later trucks. Pressure is regulated through a sensor in the pump.

thanks, then how is it that whaen i search in the stores they sell one? the computer reads low fuel pressure at the rail. what can cause this read/

Beats me. They may be calling the sensor a regulator. I would think it's the sensor or the pump that's resulting in low pressure. Best thing to do would be get hold of the dealer diagnostic tables to see what to start checking.
