2004 F150 Fuel Pump Control Module Shortage

We are in NH and are screwed by this shortage. Trying to deal with Ford and they are of no help. I found a string on another forum like this (Ford-Trucks) so folks are clearly being hit quickly with this issue. One guy said he is #701 on the wait list for this part due out June! I found two sites on the web one is on e-bay ($189) and another site is Allworld Automotive ($125). Does anyone know if these are reputable?

'05 Fuel Pump Control Module is bad - none till April '10!

My '05 F150 died on Tuesday due to a bad Fuel Pump Control Module. The module's aluminum body is directly mounted to the steel frame, how dumb. Ford has none in stock nationally or in Canada! I called 1-800-392-FORD and spoke with customer care, and they said the parts manufacturer went out of business, so they need to find another manufacturer to tool up and start making the part. My dealer now has 3 F150s with the exact same problem, bad module no parts available until mid April, they said it must be a problem nation wide since the part is out of stock. I purchased a 6year 100,000mile bumper to bumper warranty when I bought the truck new. A whole lot of good that is doing me if Ford doesn't have the parts. My warranty only covers 5 days of car rental, and Ford said there is nothing they can do for me, so I'm going to have to buck up the $$$ for a MONTH of vehicle rental, this is insane! I've tried to find a used part online to get me going until the new part comes in to avoid paying for a rental for a month, but no such luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And anyone else who is in the same situation, please reply...I'll forward the info onto the Ford customer care representative so they can see how bad it may be.

If your dealer were worth a crap, he'd know that a Super Duty controller can be modified to work.

It was just bam, dead no warning. Mind you this module has an aluminum base that is mounted to the steel frame, any idiot knows that is a no-no. The aluminum looks eaten away, so all this snow/rain we've had probably got inside the module.

You read my mind. I'm calling them tomorrow to get the exact part number. I would rather pay $100 - $200 for the used part than $30/day for a crappy KIA rental car. I'm still gonna require Ford to replace the module with the new one, when/if it ever arrives.

How can the super duty controller be modified, I read this earlier today too. I'm in the same situation, my truck is down and there are no parts to be found.

I'm starting think I might need to drop my spare tire down and take a look at my module. It has seen a good amount of salty roads for the last 5 years. I have no signs of anything wrong yet but I figure it's easy enough to check the condition of the module.
I probably need to add some air the spare anyway.

I got one!

I just bought one NEW on eBay $198.90 shipped. Another guy with the same problem at my dealer found this auction, my dealer let me know about it, and recommended I purchase one. BTW, the Super Duty part is now out of stock nationally as well. I guess this will soon make the news. There are only 6 left on eBay since I bought one, get em fast!

Side note: I talked with qualityautoparts.com, they have used ones as well. They quoted me $220 shipped.
