RC vs. Rancho
RC vs. Rancho
So I want to go with a 4" lift and have narrowed it down to RCX and Rancho. Before people start hating on RC, I have some of their products on my jeep and love them and know people that have their kits on their Chevy's. For the $ the RCX stuff can't be beat. For just roughly $600 more (I found a deal) I can go for Rancho with shocks. My long term goal would be to get coilovers, crank the front, and put on an AAL to get enough clearance for 37's after a gear swap. For now though and the next few years I want to just keep 35's and this will be a street queen with little offroad use (mostly around my farm). I will get the kicker braces with the RCX kit, but see there are more braces with the Rancho kit, which I like knowing there is more bracing. I've got plans for 325/65/18's and 4.5" of BS currently. So which one should I go with? I've heard great things from RCX owners as well as Rancho. One question I have is, "Where does the lift come from on the front of the Rancho kit? Is it a strut spacer like the RCX?
Thanks for the help, I can't wait for the lift and tires

I'm pretty sure the Rancho uses full-length replacement shocks, no spacer.
Have you looked at the Superlift 4" lift? Also a nice kit, unlike the others it doesn't increase front track width and I'm pretty sure it uses rear leaf springs instead of blocks.

I have, but it seems to me that the Superlift kit doesn't have all the things that the other kits do...?
i know the RCX is a good kit. Four Wheeler magazine had a nice right up about the 6in lift. I just installed the Superlift 4.5in lift and love it. the guys at 4wheel parts said they have never seen a kit built that strong. everything is 3/8in thick steel. it's built stout. you might want to at least consider it.
I have, but I've noticed the Superlift kit doesn't have all the pieces that the RC and Rancho kit have...at least in the pictures of the kit...
