Grrr.

I'm clueless, then again, car-illiterate. 04 F150 XLT screw 5.4, 94k onboard. Truck is hesitating to shift, all gears, but it's not shifting hard. When I put my truck it park, my truck wants to die every time. The RPMs will go below 1k, lights will dim, air conditioning with fade in and out. Sometimes the engine will cut off, I can make it do it purposely by barely touching the gas pedal and it quits. Sometimes when I start it, the rpms shoot all the way up and stay up for about 10-15 seconds and then will eventually come down. This morning on the way to work (I work on an air force base) I set my cruise control to 30 and the truck about died again. On my lunch break here in about 3 hours I will make a video of my rpms when I start it, and what it does when I put it into park. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

I changed the TPS two days ago and went ahead and cleaned the TB, but not the MAF. My fuel filter was changed about 2 weeks ago.

It was doing this with the old TPS, but, it was happening about 2 months ago and it kind of fixed it self on the stalling, hasn't done it for a while. I changed the TPS because of the shift hesitation, I was told it could have caused it, but now the stalling has come back.

Soft codes don't throw the CEL on. And there could be a bunch of them.

Did you do the relearn procedure?
Or check at all for vacuum leaks?
And like others have mentioned:
Fuel filter
MAF
Throttle Body.

94k (if) on the original plugs may have something to do with it........

I'm going to remove my TB and MAF this weekend and clean them. I already cleaned my TB last weekend, but not my MAF. The Fuel Filter was changed two weeks ago, or so i think, this problem was there before the change too.

My truck stopped surging on the idle and stopped stalling, so i think that was indeed from relearning after changing the TPS. I was in a rush while changing it so i didn't stop to think about the truck relearning, and i think that was the cause of the surging and stalling as i've been reading older posts about that.

Now to find out why my truck is shifting so weird. Hesitates in every gear seems like. It lags too when i try to speed up a little.

I'm scared to change the plugs, but, it has to be done. I'm going to buy the broken plug removal tool, follow the TSB to the T and hopefully all goes well.

No my symptoms weren't that severe. It just hesitated when I was cruising in low rpms and I had to step on it to get smooth acceleration. It was getting worse to a shudder so I took it in to get sparkplugs changed and it was gone after that. HOpe that helps.
