Need Advise Please ...

I purchased the Auto Spring 1.5" space lift for my 2008 4x4 crew cab with the intentions of having it installed.

I think the factory has to much rake, and I know the reason they built it that way. I will probably never put more than say 300 pounds in the back or tow anything.

I have been back and forth with going to get them installed, I even had them sold but the guy backed out.

Question:

If I have these installed, will they destroy my front end down the road. I dont want to have to continually replace parts just to have my truck with a little less rake.

I keep reading that people with the 2", 2.5" and 3" spacers are having their suspension components rubbing, and having to replace CV boats and ball joints.

Will the 1.5" cause the same results if installed.

I can have them installed in the morning and pick it up at lunch for $200.00 including re-aligned.

Help me make this decision.

Thanks!

Go for it! Yes, it will wear things more quickly and it all depends how and where you drive. Its not like its going to wear out parts in 2 months. I did the 2 inch on mine. If you can do a little wrenching, parts are cheap enough.

I have a 2 inch AutoSpring kit and I have about 45k hard *** miles on the truck since the install and I have had zero problems or issues with it. And my truck has a hard life on the farm. So for what its worth I would say you won't have any issues.

Hello sir!

That's a purty mild rise - you should be fine.

Have you considered, as an alternative, just dropping the rear?

Good luck!

Thanks

Thanks for the replies !

I thought about dropping the rear, I just dont want to lower the truck in anyway. I am probably just going to drive it to the tire shop before work.
