Headlight Adjustment Tool

What tool are you guys using to adjust your headlights while they are still installed? I am sick of taking my Headlights out and then adjusting them. Anybody use on of these tools?

Thanks In Advance

Its been over 3 years since I adjusted mine, but I am 99% sure that I just used a socket (for some reason I want to say 5 or 6mm) and a 1/4" hand driver. I never took mine out, and I adjusted them probably 6-7 times after the level and then again after doing the bags in the rear before I got them back in place.

I have a tiny socket and it still won't fit in there! It is a 4mm socket I know that.

Now you have me wondering exactly how I did adjust them. I will take a look tomorrow and post back.

Had no problem getting a small 4mm closed/open end wrench to adjust my 04 and my 07. Haven't tried on my 09 yet.

OK, it was bugging me, so I ran out to the garage to figure out what I did. I did use a 4mm socket a 1/4" hand driver, and also a 1/4" universal joint.

maybe they changed the location of the screw throughout the years but i don't know why you would need a foot long wrench. my 4mm wrench is only a few inches long and it still sticks out above the top of the headlight when it's on the bolt.

That's the same as mine. I think they just do it so it can be used on other ford products? I may just get that, or I will go check out Lowe's this week and get a small 4mm wrench. None of my sockets will fit in there

I use a 4mm wrench from Sears to adjust mine. Works great since sockets wont fit.

I used a tiny crescent wrench once when I couldn't find the 4mm wrench.
