I just bought a 2007 Fx4 and I see some black module behind the rearview mirror. I don't know if it's something stock like a sensor to dim interior lights or put on running lights, or if it is a gps, wifi antenna? Definitly not command start. Any ideas.

will do but noy until tomorrow, truck at the shop, has an early spray in bed liner appt. size is 3/4 the size of a hockey puck but square, with rounded edges,

 

compass and thermometer...there is a button on the left side to calibrate the compass. Its in the owners manual somewhere.

 

i guess the compass module....the thermostat sensor is located behind the grill mounted on the center support in front of the radiator.
