Is this a good deal?

My 2008 XLT loaded trade in for 23500. This is the sticker for the new one:

Comes down to me getting the new one for 29500 - 23500 for mine. Good deal?

If you are only going to have to pay $6000 to boot (+tax, title, license). I would do it.

Surely you can get it cheaper than that during these "hard" times!

ask about the D, F. E plans (employee plans)and there is still a hold back that is about $2,000.00 or so that the dealer gets back from FORD. Check on the rebates. You should not be close to the sticker price(retail). You should be about $6000 off that list price.the only tax is the difference between your trade and sale price. That M S R P is just a suggested RETAIL price. You can do alot better.

I have them 800 into a 1100 holdback. MSRP is 38630, invoice is 34816, so 34000 from the 38630. Than 5000 in incentives off of that at 29k and then 23000 for mine.

Went to get an XLT and ended up with one they had on the lot. 2010 FX4 silver, CC, Luxury pkg, 6.5 bed, Pwr moonroof, bedliner, leather, bed steps, Sony stereo, chrome running boards, MSRP 44K. I got it for 25k for my XLT and 11300 cash including tax/tags. This was below the X plan and the book values for my XLT was (NADA=21750, KBB=22000, G-book at dealer=21975.00). What do you think?
