Fuel Light Constantly on

When I turn my truck off the lever sets at E, once I start the truck it drops below the E? Then it just constantly says fuel is empty. I filled up today and the pump did not stop it just started spewing gas out where you pump gas in.

Has anyone had these issues and what was the cause? I use good gasolines (exxon, shell, chevron) at good gas stations.

I'd guess either the gauge is bad or the tank sending unit is bad. Broken wire could also be an explanation.

the pump overfilling has nothing to do with the truck.

I was just saying this because this was another event that happened today and has never happened to me before. More on the truck, the lever goes back to the appropriate level but then after I drive a bit it jumps back to empty and my low fuel light message shows then i have the beep. This is really annoying and it is 1 month out of warranty (of course)

Try going to the dealer and see if they might "pardon" you and take you in under warranty? I've heard of some dealers doing it, it's worth a try.
