Mark LT Conversion

*Huge Pic Alert*

I have a 2007 XLT that I want to deck out for a Mark LT Off-Road Edition
I'm planning on adding the grille/emblem, fender emblems, and square headlights

The "MARK LT" badgeing on the doors

And the Applique Panel/Reflectors/etc for the tailgate.

(sorry for the crappy pic)

Has anyone done this? Besides ebay, where's the best place to look for emblems? Any critiques or criticisms? All opinions welcome!

Why does this not sound like a good idea? Any constructive criticism?

I've never been a big fan of the Mark LT especially the vertical grille. And I am not sure why someone would want to make a copy of something that was never that successful? There are lots of great mods you can do to a truck other than that. If you want to copy something I'd go for a roush, saleen or foose look instead.

My 2 cents - if you have a Lariat and change it up to look like let's say a Saleen on the outside but the inside is still Lariat (console cluster and seats, etc.) - you still have a Lariat - just different now with exterior mod's. Same thing for the XLT or FX2 - you can swap grills, bumpers, door handles, instrument clusters, etc all you want. The only person that will know will be you and maybe the truck dealer when you go to trade it in. Do what makes you happy bro but be ready for those who will rip you on the streets for being a copy-cat.

I personally am not a fan of the Mark LT's - they just look like an overpriced, cadillac version of the F150. Do your mods based on what you like, not on a Lincoln image.

agreed not really a fan of the grille and the fake llights on the tailgate but its your truck man if you want to do it dont let us stop you.

also im not really keen on rebadging a truck, its would be like previously said a saleen outside and badges doesnt make it a saleen just a wanna be same with lightning clones. do the exterior to match if you want but as soon as you badge it as one thats when youll take alot of heat for being a fake

Thanks for the comments. I've always wanted a vertical grill and the Lincoln looks the best from what I've found, I also really like the headlights on the 07-08 model. So I figured I might as well buy a couple badges and finish the package out. I know that nobody who knows trucks will ever think its a real Mark LT, but Lincoln is still seen as being upscale, and people who don't know the difference think differently of you.

that HOA is retarded. if i paid for a house that wouldnt let me park a truck in the drive way id move plain and simple. if an F150 isnt sofisticated enough then its a crappy place to live with a bunch of stick up butt douches

If you want your F-150 to wear a suite then go ahead and do it, you can find parts off ebay.

Thanks for your support. I've found the grill and front emblem, but the fender emblems are a pain in the neck...
