Black to Gray

I recently bought a 04 FX4 SCAB and have noticed the front wheel well trim pieces have turned a light gray color. I haved tried armor all but it does not do the trick. Does anyone know how to return them to the original color?

Avalanches have that problem big time. Owners seem to get good results with this, but you need to know what you are doing:

I don't understand how after decades of development nobody has bothered to come up with a colorfast black plastic. Or why some manufacturers keep using so much of it when they know full well it will fade within a few years.

the armor all is half the problem

Wipe them down with wax and grease remover, available at most auto body supply shops, if that doesn't work there are several brands of bumper black available in spray cans, I have used SEM brand for years in my shop it holds up well and gives a nice satin black finish.
