A few days ago I replaced my actuators on both sides.

When I pulled the steering knuckle/hub a way from the half axle this is what the passenger actuator looked like.



without the screw drivers ofcourse. The main gear and the surrounding diaphram were both cracked and separated.

Obviously my front axle would not lock.

Any clue as to what would cause this???

I bought my F-150 about 2 years ago and I think it's probably been like this since I bought my truck. Kinda explains why my front axle wouldn't turn the last couple of times I got stuck. Anyway.........it works fantastic now.
