Im sorry my lack of audio knowledge is confusing me? what do you mean by output? i currently just tapped into the left and right front door speakers for the box. i will eventually have 1000 watt amp to power all the highs, including kick panels.

did that answer your question?

yea basically i was wondering whether or not you had a set of rca's to use or just tapping into the speakers like you are.

do you have them set up so the left one (driver side of the box) acts like a right speaker and vise versa?

looking pretty good since you first posted her up with that banana box.

interested to see the final outcome once all the holes are bondo'd over and sanded and carpeted.

don't think I've seen anybody put anything there yet. I like it.

i was told to make all the speakers that face the same direction play the same. so the passenger side on the new box is playing driver side door music.

Yes but you are also creating a ton of distortion (hence why it sounds just like a lot more noise like you said). Think about it: since one of those speakers is much closer to you but playing the same music signal, it arrives milliseconds sooner than the farther speaker. Since you are receiving the same sound twice essentially, its going to sound very inaccurate and unnatural. Not to mention all the reflections and stuff. Its a cool project and its good box building work, but its going to sound like ***. Sorry.

What you might want to do is use this as a practice project, and now build yourself some kick panel speaker housings. Aim the speakers toward the opposite side listener. Then just delete the stockers. THEN it will sound great!
