Lariat Radio different?

Is an 04 lariat radio different from an 04 fx4? Im asking because Ive come across an isimple ISDF73, so i can listen to my mp3 player through my stock head unit. The guy says it worked on his 04 lariat... but i only thought these would work with 05 + head units.

Like I said in my email, I bought the '04 used so it may have had a newer head unit in it. From what I've gathered, it will work as long as your radio has the AUX button.

Yeah I have the aux button. Just seeing if anyone else has this setup on a stock 04 head unit.

I have been looking myself for a IPOD capable connection for my 04 lariat as well. Can you let us know if this particular part works out for the 04 head. Mine is the 6 disk in dash changer. It does have a AUX button. Does your truck have radio controls on the steering wheel? And does this work with those?

A PIE adapter on any 04'+ with an AUX button should work. My 04' did on my FX4 (single disc) until I replaced it with a real headunit
