Rear Blocks?

Would taking out the rear blocks level my stock FX4 screw4x4 and make it easier to access the bed for my vertically challanged soul?

So after reading around the forums all i need for parts are the 2wd u-bolts? Do i need to worry about rear end alignment?

Yep, just buy the standard duty 2wd u-bolts, you will need 4 of them total as they are sold 1 to a box.

1. park truck on level ground, block both front wheels and leave truck in neutral.

2. crawl under and remove all 8 u bolt nuts with a 21mm or 13/16 socket or wrench, remove both lower plates and all 4 u-bolts.

3. jack up one side of truck by the frame rail and remove block.

4. slowly lower jack until pins in leaf spring touch spring perch on axle tube, rock tire back and forth to get pins to drop into spring perch (thats why you leave the truck in neutral) lower jack completly.

5. repeat steps 3 and 4 for other side

6. install 2wd ubolts, reuse both lower plates and reinstall all 8 u bolt nuts

7. have a beer, your done.
