Caliper Bleeder Broke ??

The brake fluid bleeder on one of my rear calipers broke/sheared off about even with the caliper.

The remainder of the bleeder is in the caliper.

What's the best way to resolve/fix?

1) Use an easy-out to try and remove??

2) Replace caliper??

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just trying to see if there's something I'm not thinking off. I don't think the easy-out will remove. A new caliper is the only way I can see to resolve.

I'm preparing for a rotor and brake pad change. Wanted to flush/replace the brake fluid ahead of the change.

Loosening the bleeders at the calipers always seems simple but a huge PITA for me. The bleeders always seem difficult to loosen (which is a good thing when their in..........but a PITA to loosen).

Thanks again for any suggestions!!

Had this happen before. Solution I used was step 1, if that didn't work, go to step 2. Good Luck!

Since it is part of the crucial braking system... I'd replace the caliper... It's not worth it losing hydraulic pressure and losing control of your truck. It's like $500<$25,000 and all the hassles.

the stock calipers are garbage as it is, might as well replace it while you have it off, they arent that much money

What a huge aggrevation!!!!!

I've been to 1 dealership 3 parts stores........called a couple of other dealers and parts stores...............no bleeder screw.

Even if I can get it out.............it appears buying a caliper would be easier.

All for a $3 bleeder screw.
