78k miles, suggested maintenance

What would you guys replace or service aside from what the owner's manual says? 78k miles, 5.4 3V 2006 F150 Super Crew 4x4

Brakes will be changed since they are starting to squeak. I see a lot of people get the Ultraquiet Ceramic type pads. These any good?

I'm sure the plugs haven't been changed, nor am I in a hurry to change them seeing how big of a PITA it is. COP's seem fine too. I plan to run some cleaner through the system too.

I'm basically looking to see what other little quirks that should be checked before they become a problem down the road.

Thanks in advance

At 65K I flushed tranny, brake fluid, power steering fluid, rear diff and will be doing my 4x4 transfer case fluid. Inspect brakes like you said and have battery tested. I will also be changing my fuel filter here shortly.

I just got a letter from my dealership, to what service they recommend. At 78k you would need, tranny fluid inspected, brakes shoes, linings, hoses, parking brake, inspect engine coolant and hoses, inspect and lubricate all non sealed steering linkage, ball joints, suspension joints and half, and drive shafts, plus u-joints. If you go to Fordowner.com they have an owener advantage rewards program. You sign up and you can earn 5% on all parts and services with the card. Hope this helps.

Yea you need a line disconnect tool, which looks like an "X" and you want to pick up the one that has 3/8 and 5/16 ends. And then obviously get the correct motorcraft filter. Then u slide underneath the car, by driver side (about 1- 1/5 foot in).

Heres the tricky part!!! ITS VERY FRAGILE!!!! Holding the line should be a blue "butterfly" clip. This forum will talk about it
