ENGINE WORKS!!!.......but computer connector broke

So I got my new 5.4L in and on its 2nd crank it started right up(awesome feeling). but on the ECM there are those 3 big harnesses that connect to it. the little grey lever broke on the far right side(driver side) and won’t stay in the latched position. Tried a little today to see if there was one in a junk yard i could cut off and splice into my truck but no luck so far. the latch is mostly good it just seems to be the tab that holds it in the latch position that is broken so i might just try to gorilla glue it latched and hope I never have to take it off again.

duct tape and zip ties are your friend.

As the other poster said, zip ties are your friend (I wouldn't personally use duct tape) It probably won't come out even if it isn't secured, but I would zip tie it.

DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to splice a new connector onto the harness! The PCM is sensitive (a static shock from your finger can kill it) enough to detect the slightest change in electrical resistance that soldering would cause. This can result in drivability problems or can even fry the PCM.

The only correct way to fix it is to replace the entire harness, unless there's a way to clip on a new lever.
