Well, you missed the 2009s and 2010s, and you missed all the Truck of the Month excitement, all of Raouls posts, other than that, not much.

BTW, after dealing with that fuel filter, the plugs were a snap!

We all thought something bad had happened to you. Glad you are back.

Yeah, but it does give me some confidence that they will try to rectify the situation. It was some shady back alley dealer, I would definitely not feel the same way, and I would absolutely walk away from the deal. After my *****ing and complaining this morning, I have insisted that they call and give me status updates on it. The next one is due in an hour. If not, I call and complain again.

Yeah, I've seen that. But the warranty is good for 11 years/120,000 miles if I recall correctly. So I'm not quite as worried about that right this minute. I want the situation at hand handled before I dig into that. And I can take that up with a different dealer as well.

Sounds like you have found a truck that you really want, however if it were me I would get my $$ back immediately and RUN away from that dealership and never look back..there are more trucks available out there without the head ache that you have encountered. Ask yourself, do you really want that vehicle now? Would you share the name and location of this dealership ?

Well, I don't see any problem with it as long as it is put back together correctly and they didn't damage anything while extracting the plugs. The only reason I posted this thread was to find out whether removing the head was still a method that they used regularly and how long should it take for them to fix it. I got my answer and discussed it with the dealer. They are doing their best to take care of me.

I have since found out that the tech that was working on my truck has been sick. They slacked off on it because they did not assign another tech to finish it. That's why it has taken this long. They have rectified that now and will have it finished soon. They are also giving me a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty on it. They also offered a loaner vehicle for me to use until they get it finished.

I do agree that they shouldn't have removed the heads in the first place IMO. I do not wish to drag their name through the mud at this time. If they give me what they have promised at this point and I receive it when they told me, I will be satisfied. I will not be having any further service work done by them though.
