4wd Binds Up - Shot bushings?

Looks like the bushings that mount my front axle to the frame are shot. The front axle is tilted to all hell and the front driveshaft now binds up in 4wd. I have never heard of axle bushings failing like this...and apparently neither has google. I found so few leads it's not even funny.

Anyone know what needs to be done to replace these bushings? I bought 3 new ones already. Typically do you need to replace the bolts that go inside the bushings? Lastly, how many people have had this happen to them?

I think I do know what you are talking about, but, I'm not sure how it'd have to be to do that.

Pix please!

It's actually called a Pivot Bushing I've read. Only one person on these forums has replaced it, and that was in a 1995 pickup.

Sounds premature. And to boot, I'm going to have to tear apart my entire front suspension to get to these 3 bushings. FUN. I just cannot comprehend this being such a rare problem, at least not this rare. Maybe Quintin will chime in if he's still around.
