What is this? (pic)

When my brother (member id = bogator) got his 06 with a 4.6 I looked under the hood and saw this. Assuming its a temperature sensor (or something similar), but just wanted to make sure its not something else that should "go" somewhere as it just hangs there now.

I think your right... If it's in the center of the radiator that's most likely what it is.

lol, it just hangs there... but i bet if it fails it'll cost $9415345453 to fix.

Is it a 2wd truck? I think it might have to do with a capped off vac line for the 4wd IWE, or something similar.

except that's no where near the radiator.

That's exactly what it is. The vacuum line is there on 2wd models, but obviously, no use for it.

Capped off vacuum line, could also be used to check for vacuum leaks.
