Bug Shield / hood guard recommendations

I have the factory chrome package on my 2008 SuperCrew (yeah kids, I am old...). Anyhow I have been considering buying a bug shield / hood guard (or whatever you call them) and have seen a few that I like. My real question, however, is choosing between a "chrome" one (chrome plated plastic) or a stainless steel one. Obviously, being old, I like the idea of "steel" as opposed to "plastic". However, I want it to look right with the factory chrome (much of which is on plastic, like the wheels) and I am concerned that the stainless will look too brushed - as opposed to polished - and might be a rust issue (yeah, stainless doesn't rust, I know). Does anyone have experience with the stainless guards that they can share?

Thanks.

I had a stainless bug shield on my old truck and loved it. It doesn't look brushed it looked polished. My dad has had one on his super duty longer than i had mine and it doesn't rust. It will look great with factory chrome i have seen where the plastic ones peel the chrome off.
