New Member New truck

Hey guys,

I used this site while doing my research on this generation of f150 before i purchased my truck and found it to be a wealth of knowledge. I am an extremely picky person (i have built/owned a few cars on the European car scene and am a quality control manager at an auto body shop). i found a truck that meet my strict requirements.

I was looking for an 06 + f150 supercrew shortbox lariat or fx4 that was a ford lease return (there cars were always the best maintained ones of all the used ones i looked at) with moonroof, tow package, premium sound, leather, all the bells and whistles, low kilometers, original glass and no decelerations and a local (to me, Vancouver Canada) vehicle.

After 8 weeks i had a friend of mine at adesa auctions call me up and said he found me my truck, but it wasn't the right color, but i told him i would settle for aspen green metallic. Well i got a phone call a little bit later in the day and soon found my truck sitting at my work waiting for me to pick it up the next day! Enough with the story on with the truck!

Its a 2006 f150 supercrew, shortbox, lariat in aspen green metallic on black leather, 20' wheels, canopy (which is being pulled off asap, i really do not like it), moonroof, no accidents at all, original glass, premium sound, just everything i wanted, and it only has 79000 km on it (i'd say about 49000 miles). it is just in great shape, i could only find 4 small door dings on the truck and no scratches worth polishing out! anyways some pics:

This is how it came from auction/dealer. I told them i did not want it cleaned so i could see hot it was maintained from the previous owner, and holy hell its been maintained, the engine bay is spotless and so is the undercarriage.

I've owned it for less than 24 hours and i already went out and bought a front end leveling kit so i can put some 33's on there for now ( i am using the truck stictly for towing a car&utility trailer and for my daily commute), and my future plans are doing a true dual exhaust and getting the edge programmer and some sort of intake as the stock one looks extremely restrictive.

A little about me is that I've come from the vw/audi/european car scene so i'm hoping to bring a little of my euro oem+ styling to this truck. The truck is to serve purpose as a parts hauler, corrado support vehicle, and tow my red corrado down to shows in the PNW USA come summertime. Anyways heres some of my current projects and past cars i've built

1995 volkswagen corrado (my never ending project)

1996 audi a4 quattro (built, enjoyed and sold)

1992 volkswagen gti 16v (brought back to stock and did oem+ styling)

1991 volkswagen corrado vr6 (auto-x car)

Anyways I'm sure i will slowly build this truck over the next couple years and be asking some stupid questions and some good ones, contribute to the site when i can, etc. Anyways new member checking in and saying hey to everyone and that i'm damn proud to be a ford owner!

ahaha it was late at night, can't expect my punctuation to be perfect:P

Anyways thanks for the comments, i'm really stoked to finally have my truck. And yes i know about the lighter wallet, between one fill up and my "attempt" at Christmas shopping yesterday (where i bought my leveling kit instead) already have the mod bug, i think its in me just to not leave vehicles alone.

Nice truck, and it's always great to see a fellow dubber!
I almost bought a deep purple Corrado once (I still wish that I had the money...).
Very nice!
That MKII is where my hearts is at though...
very clean!
Are you on the vortex by chance?
