Constant Tick sound while driving.....04 F150 5.4 anyone?

Just started today driving it home, engine was warm after a good 30 or to 50 mins of driving in city driving.....04 F150 5.4

I read about this: http://www.justanswer.com/questions/...-making-a-loud

Not sure if it's that. I tried reproducing the sound when stopped but only works when i pick up speed and am slowing down......didn't work at idle or startup and I need it for the snow storm today so I'm worried as to whether it should be driven like this or not.

Also if anyone has any ideas as to what it may be? Can't be the belt since it doesn't doing while idling.

Thanks

Sounds like a bomb to me...

I agree with Stealth... don't know much about it, but that seems to be a symptom of that.

Does it go with speed or rpms? I guess I'm asking if there's a correlation between the two

Is your exhaust touching your tow hitch?? that's what most likely causing the metal to metal sound. I had the same problem. go back to the place that did your exhaust and have them realign it.
