Unhappy Winshield Whistle, Howl, Rattle

I have a 2006 F150 Supercrew FX4 with 40,000 miles. I have seen a similar question on the forum dating back to 2004 and I am wondering if there is a know solution. I have a loud wind whistle/howl coming from the drivers side of my windshield at highway speeds, not all the time (about 80%) but primarily when there is a cross wind of any type (summer and winter). The last time it also sounded like something was rattling. For the first time last weekend I heard the same noise come from the passenger side. It is very loud and driving me nuts. Is there a fix? HELP

I think the op stating that he knows there are other threads means he did search and obviously didn't find a known fix, and he's asking if anyone knows one

I have read many threads on many forums and have yet to come across a clear and definitive fix..everything from putting two way tape on my grill, taping the the windsheild, and spraying soapy water all over the winshield with the air conditioner on, and others saying that is just the way it is etc. However, most of the threads I read dated back a few years. Since I haven't seen a recent thread I thought perhaps someoe has solved the issue and I was hoping they would be able to share....I will try everything but was hoping to narrow my strategy down a bit.
