Tranny slips on cold mornings?
It has been fine all summer, but now that it has turned off cold in the morning when I leave for work if I don't have time to warm the truck up it will hardly pull until I rev it a little. The other morning it was exceptionally bad and my wrench light came on. The check engine light has been on for a while for the map sensor but it also ran codes that says the input and output speeds of the trans aren't coinciding. All the shops want to tell me is that the tires are whats causing the problems and etc, which is bull since I've seen a million f150's with oversized tires and no problems. They also said the map baro reading meant that I need a new throttle body which sounds like a typical mechanic. They told me to take it to the dealership which I will when I come up with the cash to pay for them to look at it. They also told me someone burnt up something in the computer trying to program it and that I would be the one to have to pay for it because the dealership wouldn't belive that it wasn't me that programmed it. What could be burned up in the computer? It's all fishy to me.
