Snapped a wheel stud off
As if today wasn't a bad enough day, had my uncles funeral, afterwards I decided to put the stock wheels/tires back on the truck. I got them all on and the lug nuts snugged up, then got my snap-on torque wrench out to torque them all down to 150 lbft like I have done numerous times before. On the first wheel I ended up snapping off the 2nd stud that I was tightening down.
Has anyone else had this happen?
I was so pissed off that I just dropped everything can came into the house. I didn't look to see what I was going to have to do, but from what I can remember I will have to take off the brake caliper and rotor. Then do I just pound out the broken stud and install the new one? (just like on trailers and older trucks, or is there something special that has to be done?)

youre lucky its a 4x4 or youd be looking at a $200 hub assembly
assuming its the front...
i dunno tho maybe it is possible to pull out the stud on a hub assembly, now u got me curious, im gonna have to look the next time i have my wheels off...
just never heard of a stud breaking like that b4...

I have never had something like this happen before either, I am not sure if my torque wrench needs to be recalibrated or what the heck happened. I ended up going out and torquing the rest of them down to 130 lbft's, just for fear the my wrench is screwed up and that I would snap another one. Today I am going to my dads shop and get one of his torque wrenches and torque the wheels down again.
Tomorrow I am going to call the parts store and have them order in 2 or 3 studs, just do I have an extra 1 or 2 laying around, just incase something like this happens again. (god forbid)

I know thats not the problem, I am only 6'3" and 220lbs. Plus the torque wrench should have "clicked" before this whole mess happened.

I don't think so. I looked at it better this morning and it looks like once I pull the caliper and rotor off, then there should be enough room to either pound the broke stud out with a hammer or press it out. I am going to order the new studs tomorrow and install them next weekend.
I am going to have the Snap-on guy take the wrench this week to get recalibrated, the last time it was done was back in January of 2006, but I haven't had any issues with it until now.
