I have a FX4 with a 6 1/2 foot flareside bed. Im looking to trade it for a Standard Bed. Does anyone know anywhere that would do this or would anyone want to trade me? Tail Lights, gate, Liner, and bumper would be included..

Why do you want to do this??

I thought about it to cut the rear and add baja style flares all around...

But the Flare stands out... Don't see many by me.

But to anwers your ? I'd check with a body shop. Or hop online and check out a company called parts fit. Not sure they they are still around but we used them years ago when I worked for carmax.

 

I like the look of the standard better than the flare, i got a good deal on my truck with the flareside and it was too good to pass up.

 

www.car-parts.com searches junkyards for parts. I'd start there.. but like Mr. eXtreme said. U could try repair shops too..

ive tried several places nobody reallys trades the beds, everyone just wants to sell. thank you for the ideas should help.

 

Check out Greenleaf Auto Recyclers. On the web at www.greenleafauto.com. I bought a set of adjustable pedal assemblies for a great price. Log on to their website and click on the "Prime Salvage recycled parts" and there's a photo of a bunch of beds, so they must have em.

The best place to get new take-off's is where they do service beds and so forth. I don't know how much luck you'll have in TRADING but those places have a large supply of take-off's. You used to be able to buy a new take-off for $500. but not any more I don't think. I worked in body work and that's where we always got our beds if we needed one, never at the junk yard.

 

Maybe find another person to swap with u would be ur best bet
