Where and how are you guys jacking up your trucks to put the jack stands under? Done this a few times on my jeep, but want to know the best spots and what height stands I should look at for the truck...getting 6 ton stands...

 

what are trying to accomplish by putting it on stands? just trying to work on tires an such or on the suspension?

I have to put my stand on two peices of plywood and use a block on top of the jack to even lift it off the ground. But I just lift it one side at a time right on the frame rails.

x2, Also place the jack stands forward of the jack on the frame. You can also lift if by placing the jack on your front diff cross member, that may not get it high enough for you, depending on your jack.

 

for front end leveling kit, I used a floor jack to lift one side at a time. Put the jack stand under the crossmember. then used the floor jack to ease the tension on the suspension.

 

so jack it up from one side on the frame, slide in a jack stand in front of the point I'm lifting with the jack, and then do other side? I just want to know the exact way to do it on these trucks before I go into it so I'll save time and energy...
