Engine problem

last night i was on the hwy going about 40mph, i passed a trailer in front of me and only gave it half throttle. when i was right next to the trailer, the truck started jumping and it felt like it was choking, like gas wouldn't go through. it wouldn't accelerate and when it did, it would jump. the check engine light started blinking and it stayed on for like 30 seconds. it runs fine now and the light hasn't turned on, but im afraid to even rev it. does anybody know what would be the problem?
i hope its not the tranny..

just in case anyone needs this information..

This also happened to me once before and I pulged my scan tool and there are no codes. 2006 4x4 supercrew 34000 miles same as your truck in your sig. Also it did this once during start up where it felt like it was on 4 cylinders then fired up and never threw a code.

I doubt it is the tranny...

Do got a question... what octane fuel you put in your truck? Regular, mid, or prem?

87 at BP or Chevron only... what would help prevent this? and what caused the incident?

My truck did the same thing. Now its startin to make a weird whinning noise between 2000 and 2500 rpms. But also, it sometimes hesitates normally (when u give it half throttle or full throttle). Its been doin it for 2 weeks but yesterday the check eng light blinked for 30 secs and turned off. After the light turns off, does the comp store the code or no?

I'd reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for about 30 minutes, and go from there.

how many miles? Check you plugs, coils, fuel filter, fp psi. Sounds like miss fire to me due to no codes.

Sorry, I should have said reconnect it after the 30 minutes. Thought that was common sense.

(I'm sorry... really.)

On the lighter side (and serious)... did you happen to have less than a 1/4 of tank of gas when you did this?
