Problem with heated mirrors

Hello,

I own an F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 ´06, the problem that I have is with the heated mirrors. Let me explain: when I push the defrost button for the mirrors in the a/c panel the light at the button turn on for a moment only (maybe half second) then turn off again. I can´t make the light remains turned on, I have checked the fuse (#8 10A) which is ok. Any advice?, Could be damaged the a/c electric panel or the problem could be a bad wire connection?

Two months ago the driver side mirror was replaced by another original Ford part because the original was broken, could be wrong connected?

I really appreciate any advice

Regards
J.Leal

I'd guess one of the mirrors has a bad heating element. You should be able to ohm the wires out to see if they are good. Get access to the mirror plugs and test between pins 1 and 9 and compare the ohms between them. Post back
