Steering wobble, still!

Have had wheel hub replaced, aligned & balanced & lower ball joint replaced numerous times. Out of ideas on why I get a wobble at approx 55-60mph.

Anyone have any thoughts?

What kind of balance machine? The front of these trucks are very sensitive to balance. Lots of people say get the rims/tires road force balanced.

Yep, often a RFB will do what a regular machine will never do on our trucks.

Not sure who you were responding to, but any shop that has RFB equipment also has regular balancing equipment and wouldn't do RFB unless it was requested. It does take more time and therefore costs more. It only cost me $60. at America's Tire but that's also where I bought the tires and wheels. When it still had steering wheel "nibble", I took it back after a couple months and ask for a RFB and paid the $60. to have them RFB. Did they RFB your wheels? If you paid for a regular balance, I would say pretty much for sure they didn't do RFB. It probably is worth $25. a wheel if done by someone who knows what they're doing.

steering rack can also be the issue and rear e-brake sticking. The sticky e-brake is one of the more popular reasons for the shake. Bigger tires also.

Do you have knobby mud tires? I get the wobble 50-65 mph due to the tires.

So not even road force would do it......wanted 30oz of weight on one of the tires (35" BFG KM2s)

They're gonna put some sort of sand stuff in there that they've had good experience with. At $30/tire.........ouch . But hopefully it'll balance out, and I wont have the wicked wobble.

It's supposed to be self-balancing (when the sand spins?). Wonder if this means I'll never need another balance...hmm
