04 Lariat Paint Defect?

Have a 2004 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4. Just noticed the paint on the roof of the truck is peeling up all over and now there is bare metal exposed and rust. Has anybody else had this issue? Truck has never been repainted, factory paint. Im very upset over this, Im sure it will cost quite a bit to have the roof sanded and repainted.

Where do you live? May be metal contamination, or env ironmental fallout

having the roof sanded and re-painted shouldn't be to much, definitely worth it to help not destroy a nice truck
