PTM - Pricing

I want to PTM my mirror caps, front bumper and grill surround. anyone know what I should expect to pay for this? A breakdown would be cool in case it's deeper than my pockets!

Any in the SF Bay Area that know where I can go for this?

My guess is roughly 300-450 I paid $300 to get my hood painted and installed at a local small shop. And that's with hours of fiberglass work and hours of troubles when installing it.

I am wanting to have both bumqers and all 4 handles painted. Maaco quoted me $400. That is total, prep and paint.

handles might be ok , but i wouldnt take the bumpers to maaco.

Get them sandblasted and powdered coated, should be around $300 for both bumpers

i took my mirror caps and handles too a legit body shop and they did $250 cash

That is to "prep" and paint. I have though decided to to just do the bumpers and leave the handles black.

IDNC,

I'm truly ignorant when it comes to paint and such. What is the difference between painting them and powder coating them? Can they exact match them when powder coating?

Thanks!!!

to sum it up
powder coat is stronger than paint, it is baked on, more resistant to rock chips and such. i personally do not know a whole lot about it, but a decent shop should be able to match your paint.

this is an old pic but it is the best shot i have, i had my rear chrome bumper powder coated and it matches the paint perfectly

update... my bumper is off and at the shop getting powdercoated. pulled it off and stripped it form the lights, mouldings etc. piece of cake and it saved me $1k! the shop wanted $1200 to R/R + PC the bumper, grill surround and the mirror caps. he said if i removed it myself it'd be $110 for bumper and $120 for grill. no brainer there... i'll wait to do the mirror caps since i need to remove them. prolly wait for the xmas break. shop says it'll be done by friday so i know what i'll be doing this weekend...

Awesome - good to hear & sounds like a great deal Bro - that will look great. That's my next MOD after I lower my ride in a couple of weeks - Powdercoat the bumpers black and leaving the chrome wheels and chrome f150 badging for a lil' it of chrome for now.
