engine tone change

I have auto climate control and recently when it cycles the heat on the sound and feel of the engine will change. I can only feel and hear it at idle of course. I feel it in my seat and in my foot while holding the break. The tone of my exhuast will change as well. Any ideas? Is this normal or what? I don't think i noticed this problem last winter. I recently added an exhaust, CAI and a tuner. I was using the canned tunes for awhile (still waiting on troyers customs). I don't think any of this should affect this.

I notice it... more load is placed on the engine. It sounds louder because the engine is working harder
