I have a 2004 f150 lariat, you have to get right up on the truck for the remote to unlock the door. is there any way to extend the distance that the remote will work. i have replaced the battery about a year ago and it didnt help.

 

Hold it up over your head when you punch the button.

 

I was told that new batterys do not increase the range of the unit.

I was having intermittent problems with my fob for a while and then just for the heck of it, I tried to reprogram it ....and after about 8 times it finally worked.
