Adding OEM reverse sensors
It makes no sense to do it anyway. You have to have the wiring harness for it, and the dash button to shut it off. Drilling holes in the bumper isn't the easiest thing, and those sensors are expensive. Just get a backup camera and bypass the sensor idea. I never use the sensors anyway since I have the backup cam, I wish they weren't even on there.
i know it can be done. i have a friend (a girl, go figure) whose daddy had to put them on hers. im sure they are semi pre wired. hell are trucks are wired for the 4x4 switch whether they are 4x4 or not.
The point is mainly the cost. I think those reverse sensors are like $75-100/ea and there are 4 of them. Then the wiring harness and dash switch. This is probably a $500+ project easily, maybe closer to $800 unless you find junkyard parts. The camera works better and is infinitely more useful for 1/3 the cost.
whoa havnt seen you in a while
im sure it could be done, the wireing is probably in the cab for it but not ran back to the bumper, but there is probably a plug in the cab for it and the button
what did you do with your old truck?

B) Drilling holes is easy if you have the right tools for the job
C) Getting a back up camera would ential needing an indash monitor; which I don't have yet in this truck (definitely not adding one of those little auxillery monitors that come with some camera kits..) I loved my old Kenwood double-din indash, but I'm saving $$ to buy a house, so I'll be rocking the OEM head unit for another year or so..
D) A guy in my area on Craigslist was selling a new chrome rear bumper with the sensors for $100 (don't want the chrome bumper, do want the sensors) So if it was as easy as buying them, drilling the holes, and plugging them in; I'd like to do it.. But it sounds like it may not be worth the hassle
Not gunna lie... I like the asthetic appeal of them too

Thanks for the info
Oh yea... What up, Cole!
