Im about to order a 200+ amp Alt mainly for Stereo and I need to find out How difficult it is to install it myself. Has anyone done it? Is it just Loosen the OEM screws and Replace? Or is there some Configurations and computer Programming im gonna need to do?
And if someone can just tell me the steps to doing it that'll help alot thanks!

Did one a few yrs ago on our 00 4.6. Not difficult at all, hardest part is getting the belt back on and that's not difficult. No programming needed. I think it went something like this:
Disconnect battery.
Use the tensioner arm to put slack in the belt and slide it off and out of the way.
Loosen alternator bolts.
Disconnect harness.
Remove alternator.
Then install the new.
Disconnect battery.

Alright sounds Pretty good I've been hearing alot of rumors about the difficulty so i've been balancing whether to take it to a car shop or not. From the sound of it I shouldn't really have to get under the truck at all. Was it a High Output Alt you installed?
It was just a replacement alt I put in.
You won't need to get under the truck at all. Pop the hood and you'll see it right in the middle below the intake tube. You may need/want to remove the tube for room. When it comes to putting the belt back on, it may help to have a friend hold the tensioner while you route the belt. Best tip for putting the belt back on is to place it over all the grooved pulleys first, then slide is over the smooth one to the right of the alternator last.
