i can't b****

so lately my truck was making this high pitch winding sound under the hood it has kinda been cold up here in utah so i figured it was just cause it was cold (cause the noise would come and go) well yesterday i went hunting in the morning and it made the noise the whole drive, so when i got back from hunting and started my truck i made a really bad noise like grinding type noise, it was coming from my pully's and my belt area so i took it to the big o and had them look at it, well 90 mins later and 180 bucks it was fixed. they had to replace the right side idler pully and the belt tensioner pully, but i can't bitch cause i have had this truck for 2 1/2 years and it has 105,000 miles on it and this is the first non schedule maintinance work i have had to done to it so it makes me pretty happy actually...

I had the same problem. For some reason dirt was getting up into my belts/pullys and was makign little cuts into the belt. Then when ever it go in the right spot on the belt it would squeak. Got new belts and the problem was fixed.

Same thing here, replaced idler pulley several months ago. It makes a nice whine and some kid stopped and asked if I had a turbo! And I still got the cool sound fixed! lol
