Ash tray help

I am trying to route my Edge through my ash tray. I need help on two parts though.

1.) I took the front piece off to run the cable through, but I cant get the middle tab back on.

2.) Is there any way to disconnect the ashtray from the plastic piece that is on the back? It is clear it is 2 separate pieces of plastic but I cant/dont want to reef on it to get it out.

have the ash tray open. starting at the bottom , i think there is a total of 4 or 6 clips , 2 or 3 on each side. glenty pry/ pull out the bottom of the trim and work your way up. there are a few electrical connections you have to undue, but it should make your project alot easier.

Go to this website: http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/Cont...ionalEventPage

On the top of the screen, hover over "Glovebox" and click on "Owner Guide". Enter the year, make, and model (or enter your VIN, if you know it). You can then download as a PDF and of the manuals you need.

By the way, once I get my Gryphon back from PHP, I'm going to do something similar to what you're doing. Let me know how it goes.

sorry I didnt mean owners guide, I meant service manual. So far it looks great except for the fact I cant hide the wire enough for my own liking.
