Well just like it says. Momma gave me the okay this afternoon to stop and look and "touch". Oh, I like,whole bunches. Waiting on financing to get to my conditions.

Is there any thing I should look at or go over before signing. Come on guys throw everything at me.

 

The 07's are pretty much trouble free, ford got all the bugs fixed by then. The only thing they still have is the 5.4 has the plugs that can stick, ford did not fix that until the 08's. Unless the truck is very low mileage, I would try to get them to throw in a plug change before you take delivery.

 

sweet man congrats! just make sure to test drive it..... listen really close to every thing! and i mean everything! make sure all of the windows work properly and check over the engine very closely! If you do find something wrong tell them and make sure they fix it before you buy it.... thats just my 2 cents im sure these guys have a lot more advice for ya

 

I picked up my 06 FX4 2 weeks ago. Like everyone else is saying, most importantly, listen for odd sounds in suspension as well as the motor. Make sure you take a tsb print out with you so that you know what to look for. As well as ask the dealer questions about the truck. Make sure they do an oasis on it, and a car fax. Try to look at all body panels in different areas of light so that you can see if the body has been "touched up" or not. I know in '06 they had a brake booster recall. I can't remember if it goes all the way up to '07 model year. Ohh and one more thing go over the bumpers meticulously, look for chip marks and rust marks. Have them touch up if its bad enough. From the best I could tell the truck is in really good condition. It just turned 30,000. The interior is clean as can be and the exterior has no flaws that can be seen. I climbed on top and got underneath it and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Motor starts nicely and runs smoothly. It actually starts quietly compared to alot of other 5.4 I have heard. The tranny was tight and very responisve. I did not check the windows but will do so when I go back today. What is this Oasis thing? I am certain I will add the ESP extended warranty for piece of mind. Also will see if I can get them to change plugs. If not its not going to be a deal breaker.
