Foose #402
Foose #402
Just reached a 1000 miles on #402. Did a break in of no hard stops & not getting on it hard. Drove at different speeds & kept the rpms down & varied. So I have a place I go, open road no traffic. So I am going to open her up. Away I go ,up to 90 quickly then its over. I had no idea the speed limiter would still be set after Tecstar had installed the roots supercharger. Talked to Rousch, federal laws, blah, blah, no help. Tecstar doesnt answer phone or e-mails. Hard to understand why the speed limiter wasnt changed.
Anyways so now I need a custom tune(only way to release the power)? Have been reading the tune section looking at the various sites. Information overload. Can I get a tune that just stops the top speed limiter or am I just better off to get a custom tune? To many choices. Any help appreciated.

I would think that you could run an Edge or Gryphon and just change that one setting. The only question would be if the tuner would recognize your HEX code.

yeah i would think that would work since the first level only ups the transmission. i just suggested the custom tunes since it would take care of the problem and make the truck run a lot better.
Possibly you are correct. I was assuming that he already had a custom tune that was satisfactory, and only wanted to remove the limiter. If a complete custom tune is desired, than an Xcal3 or Gryphon would be the way to go.

I would get a custom tune and unleash that beast. The stock Roush tune leaves a lot of performance on the table.
