Had my 6" fabtech installed about 5 to 6 months ago. Now that winter is just around the corner i need to reinstall my front driveline.

What mods or corrections will i need to do to it before i install?

Do what the install instructions tell you, take apart the shaft at the slip joint and cut out the double wide key, reclock the shaft and put it back together. Take to nearest driveline shop and get the reclocked front shaft balanced, install in the truck when done.

Nearest driveline shop is about a hour and a half away.

Can i run for a short time just how it is? Or will it vibrate or maybe cuase other problems? I heard alot of install shops just put the front driveline back in stock.

Call your shop and have them install the shaft for you as per the instructions. I am sure they can provide a quote so you understand the costs prior to the install.

Yes, you can. If it's going to vibrate, it will happen at highway speeds only while in 4wd. If you never use 4wd, you can theoretically run it forever.

I had mine re-clocked with the master key cut out. I use 4x4 decently often have never experienced vibrations. Some driveshafts wont even need a re-balance, but you must re-clock it.
