Unhappy power steering refill and ATF change

Hello everybody and please excuse my english. I bought an 2004 F150 Lariat, 5.4 triton in very good conditions with 55k miles. As you can imagine i'm trying to make a good service after buy and looking inside i've noticed the power steering fluid level a bit(half inch) under the min sign. I'd like to refill but i don't know what kind of fluid should i use for. If it's mercon inside i'd use some dexron3/mercon but as i see ford changed the mercon to mercon v wich can not be mixed. Supposing that inside there's mercon v can i refill with mercon/dexron3? I doubt in 2004 ford used mercon v for the power steering. Anyone have any info.
The ford dealers in europe use different motorcraft id's and names -they gave me the DP-M5 to use for automatic transmission and power steering but nobody have any information on this oil specifications and they can not guarantee it's the same. Anybody can help?
We cannot buy oils in the US - this are restricted items.
I'm preparing for a change into my automatic transmission too and the only mercon v i found in europe is ravenol from germany http://www.ravenol.de/products?part=317
Seems matching the mercon v values but i'm warried not to make any mistake.
It's a hard life with american cars here in europe and not only due to dimensions and parking problems, but i really love my mule.
